LES FAUCONS – BED & BREAKFAST / GITE IN ST CERE, FRANCE
Les Faucons, or Falcons, is a truly beautiful Quercynoise style bed and breakfast close to the nearby town of St Céré, with spectacular views over the illuminated Tours de St Laurent and the Chateau Montal with its golf course and restaurant. Les Faucons makes a perfect bed and breakfast for families and couples looking for a relaxing time in the heart of France. Our objective is to make you unwind, relax, enjoy and simply feel at home during your stay.
The house has 3 double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms as well as a self contained apartment, or ‘gite’, with its own patio and access. With a large dining room for guests, there is also a wisteria draped covered terrace overlooking both castles – a wonderful place for breakfast. Les Faucons is more than a bed and breakfast as all guests have access, throughout the day, to the large swimming pool and to a summer room which benefits from a fully equipped kitchenette with appliances, barbeque, television/video, games and a fitness bicycle. Ample and secure car parking is available within the grounds.
This stunning Lot region neighbours the Dordogne and is where the Massif Central mountains with its deep winding rivers and lakes begin. The entire region is steeped in history, pre-historic caves, medieval villages and ancient sites which makes a treasure trove for culture lovers. For those wanting a more active holiday, the Lot Valley also offers a range of activities, from walking, hiking, cycling, canoe trips on the Dordogne river, golf on stunning courses, street concerts and much more.
The weather in the Lot is generally warm from May all the way through to October, meaning that the mature, peaceful gardens of over an acre and swimming pool offer the perfect place to relax. Measuring 12m by 5m the pool is situated at the top of the garden. Sheltered at the back by large trees and looking down onto the house and out across the valley. There are paved areas for sunbathing and relaxation, with sun loungers and parasols on a deck covered by a gazebo which provides shade.
The pool is fully safety alarmed and conforms to current French safety laws.
